Since that day in June 2005 when the waters of the Forge River began to smell of sewage and the fish began dying, much attention has been paid to the terrible state of the river and the need to rescue this valuable natural resource. Rallies and meeting have been held, letters written, and a Town Task Force formed. All these are positive steps toward a solution. However, there is much the average citizen can do to help in this fight.
